My name is Jordan Smith — born April 28, 2001 — raised in Kalamazoo, Michigan, and known artistically as G Jordan.
I spent a short time in South Carolina as a baby, but Michigan raised me. I was born at Bronson Hospital, which basically means I came factory-installed with Midwest grit and a “keep going” button that won’t shut off.
My school journey was a full RPG campaign: Chime School → Prairie Ridge Elementary → Linden Grove → Harper Creek High School → and finally finishing things out at Loy Norrix. Somehow I always ended up back home in Kalamazoo. Plot armor.
I’ve been obsessed with how things work my entire life — computers, people, systems, patterns. I didn’t just want to use apps… I wanted to understand them. My first phone was a black LG with glitter nail polish on the back (custom skin, obviously). I downloaded a game, realized I had no money, and thought: “Yeah… I’m not accepting that.” So I reverse-engineered it and suddenly I had millions of coins. That curiosity turned into learning, building, and leveling up for real.
That path led me to Pocket Code through the Catrobat organization — catrobat.org. Catrobat’s mission is simple and powerful: free, open-source tools that help kids and teens learn programming through creativity — making coding more accessible, more inclusive, and more fun worldwide. I was all in.
I built my first game. Then another. Then another. Eventually I made a Flappy Bird-style project that opened doors I didn’t even know existed. Through Catrobat I got to teach kids, collaborate globally, and participate in Google Summer of Code — working with brilliant people from around the world and helping build things used by millions. Not thousands. Millions.
Then my creative energy shifted from code to sound — and that’s where G73 was born. The symbols matter: G is the 7th letter of the alphabet, 7 shows up everywhere in creation and harmony, and 3 is structure and motion — triangles, rhythm, forward movement. Music runs on harmonics. Life runs on patterns. G73 is about creation through discipline. Interpret it how you want — that’s the point.
I’ve done live shows, I’ve had chaos, and yes — I’ve had “character development.” My first show in Chicago took buses, trains, ticket hustling, and pure stubbornness to even make it there. The second one? Let’s just say it was a lesson. The next ones? Better story. Growth isn’t linear — it’s earned.

G73 isn’t just music. It’s for artists who are scared to step into the light, creators who feel like they don’t belong, and people who know they’re meant for more but don’t have the roadmap yet. You either evolve or dissolve out here.
